The sole needed cutting down to size but this was expected and the fit
is snug I have spent £100's on orthotics because of knee pain. from
running and walking. I thought that at this price they wouldn't really
be effective. I was wrong. I realised that part of my knee pain was due
to my foot rolling in (pronation) and having high arches I need a good
support on the instep. These work brilliantly. The pain isn't gone yet
but it has lessened. I shall be buying more of these and saving a
fortune. I use them all the time but my real love is hill walking over
rough ground and these work for this as well as street level.
I had just been recently diagnosed with Plantar fasciitis, while waiting on an appointment with a physio I bought these hoping for some pain relief. They have made such a difference and relief, that I'm so grateful for. I went to my physio this week and showed him my insole's,he thought they great and not to change them, he couldn't believe the price of them!!! I couldn't recommend these enough!!
Contoured insoles to help with aches and pains in legs, ankles, knees
and back. I had to trim the insoles even though I’m size 8 and ordered
and received the medium which is up to size 8. They are thin and
lightweight and are working wonders for my plantar fasciitis
I got these for my partner to use in his running shoes. They are fairly rigid but still flexible. They provide good support and partner is finding them to be very comfortable. The bottom part has a great rigid supportive material which prevents them from slipping in the shoes; whilst the top layer is padded and covered in a soft fabric. The size was correct as described, and they can also be trimmed at the front edge to fit different shoes.
When we opened these insoles we saw immediately that they were of a
better quality then your average cheaper version, they are firm, sturdy
yet soft and comfortable and have held their shape the entire time I've
worn them. They are a GREAT value for the price and come in many sizes. The insoles are also well designed to fit to a variety of shoes like
trainers or smart office shoes so versatile.
Having recently developed a Morton's neuroma & trying to avoid injections & surgery, I've bought quite a few insoles. These are the best so far -n they work for me & very reasonably priced. So I returned an bought some more. Highly recommended. (Watch out - some of the more substantial and expensive insoles on the market look really good but I couldn't get them in my shoes).
Could not believe how comforting these insole were as soon as I placed
them inside various shoes, instant relief. Been trying other types, but
these are by far the BEST I have come across. Decided to try them in my hiking boots for a ben nevis climb and they worked brilliant! Arrived quickly, very good
quality, would not waste my money on anything else, I will be ordering a
few more as the price is great value. Soothers definitely works!!! for
Ever wondered exactly what plantar fasciitis is?
Did you ever think it was possible for the arches in your feet to fall flat!?
Still not sure if you even have plantar fasciitis?
If you are here it means you need help and FootSoothers can help you.
You've probably seen the ads promising foot relief.
You buy the miracle product, but the feeling remains.
Simple therapies can help, but you need a combination of physical activity, education, and our insole supports to make it through, combat and overcome everyday pain.
Let us get to the point because we know your busy. Simply put plantar fasciitis is the stretching of the deep band of tendon-like tissue that covers and connects the bones on the foot's underside.
This tissue band connects your foot's heel to the ball of the foot, further extending out to the toes. When this band becomes swollen, inflamed, or overstretched, it is called plantar fasciitis.
The primary symptoms of plantar fasciitis is stiffness and pain in your feet. This pain varies in terms of severity, but at the worst of levels, can become debilitating. The pain is often the worst in the morning or after sitting for an extended period of time.
You will find as time goes on this pain gets worse and worse and will start to creep in while you are standing, walking and running.
Further to this it will start to affect your walking gait (the way your feet walk) and it can cause pain to travel into your ankles, knees and even your hips!
If you are an athlete or consider yourself very active, you will notice that plantar fasciitis is not painful during running or exercise, but rather after your physical activity has ended.
Men & Women over the age of 40 - Plantar fasciitis mainly affects active men and women over the age of 40.
Sports active people and athletes - cases have been reported in athletes and active individuals in their 20s and 30s as well.
No use of insoles or poor footwear - An overwhelming majority of cases occur because of poor arch support in shoes.
Long Distance Runners - If you are a long-distance runner or engage in a daily or regular cardiovascular exercise regimen, you are at high risk of plantar fasciitis due to foot overuse.
Long working hours on your feet - People who have very physical careers, such as construction workers, manual laborers, nurses, restaurant servers, and factory workers, are also prone to plantar fasciitis because of the amount of time they spend on their feet on a weekly basis.
Pregnant women & body structure - Pregnant women and obese people are at risk, especially if there is a sudden and/or extreme weight gain due to the increased pressure exerted on plantar fascia ligaments.
Over days, weeks, and months of leaving plantar fasciitis untreated, the stress to the area can result in small fascia tears, increasing your pain level and making you more vulnerable to rupture.
If you decide to continue participating in high-impact activities or put your foot through stressful situations even after plantar tears occur, plantar rupture is possible.
You will likely know when your plantar fascia ruptures, as a loud popping sound accompanies the injury, followed by excessive and intense pain, bruising, and swelling in the foot. You will likely be required to wear a boot or crutches for weeks or months.
The introduction of heel spurs are one of the most frequent consequences of leaving plantar fasciitis untreated.
As an attempt to protect the foot and limit damage, your body sends a host of cells to the area, resulting in a calcium deposit. Over time, these deposits add up to a multitude of small protrusions that dig into the heel's fatty pad. This causes a deal of pain with each step.
Heel spurs can build up over several months without noticeable pain.
There are many measure you can take to help with plantar fasciitis pain. You should use a programme of different remedies to help you. If you are really not sure what to do we would always recommend visiting a podiatrist to get a basic assessment.
